It's been a busy couple of weeks! I went to Montana and back for work for a couple of days (my last big work trip for a while... I currently have no plane tickets purchased nor need to purchase any! Whoo-hoo!!). This past Saturday Ryan ran his first ultramarathon, the JFK 50 miler (he did awesome! Read about it here)! This week Ryan's parents have been in town for the race and then for Thanksgiving. They were able to join us for our prenatal appointment yesterday and heard the baby's heartbeat. We also heard a lot of "whooshing" as the baby practiced some more fetal gymnastics. Once this kid is big enough for me to feel it, I'm going to be in for a world of hurt! One of the midwives actually said (after checking out our sonogram photos) "looks like you've got a marathon runner in there!" and she had no idea Ryan was a marathoner. Funny! Finally, no that's not a turkey under my shirt! I've gained 6 pounds now and it's really starting to show (and I can feel it too -- the slight belly bulge gets in the way sometimes)! The bonus, I guess, is that as my belly gets bigger, my chest doesn't appear so massive!
Happy Thanksgiving, everybody!
